This is the peavey predator that Ralph uses for gigs. Ok, its nothing fancy, but its been set up well and sounds great on stage. He's looking to upgrade maybe to an ibanez.....watch this space!
Ralph's pedal board is still in its infancy...can't you tell from how clean it is. He has still got a bit to add, but at the moment combines a Boss BE5 with a Zoom 505 mk II and a wah/volume. That's all , simple but effective. He's built in a stomp pedal for quick lead changes which so far has worked well. There's still space for his radio unit......once he gets round to taking it off his old board.
This guitar is my (Robyn's) absolute pride and joy. It's a black takamine G series and is lightweight to hold and lightweight to play. The tone is crystal clear and never a problem when put through the p.a. I usually put it through a zoom 504 effects unit, which then goes out to the desk.....not that it needs any effects, its more for a volume boost for certain numbers. I'm just waiting for Ralph to wire up my volume pedal, but I've got to get in the queue! This really is an incredible guitar......it's better than the two electrics put together!!
This is my second set guitar....its a black epiphone gothic SG which is played through a zoom 505 mk II. This gives it a really nice chunky rock sound, and of course black goes with any outfit. The only problem with the SG is the weight of the neck....the only way round it is to have a strap that ties on to the head like the acoustic.
There's not much left to say about my pedals other than one is for the takamine and one is for the electric. Zoom pedals are great as they have a built in tuner that is very visible in darkly lit stages. If you don't mind putting in a bit of time at home you can soon programme all the sounds needed for an entire set. We had a few early gig gremlins with them, but this was easily sorted out in all cases by reducing the gain. The 504 is nice as it is specifically designed for an acoustic guitar.
This is the drums set up for the full works with racks. Obviously Dave can, depending on the size of the venue, reduce them down to a basic size kit. They are a set of Premier Drums, which have been through different colours at various times.......yellow being the latest.
