Dave Goodship

Dave aka Smartfella:

Dave is one of the two original members still with the band. This picture was taken at a 21st Birthday Party at The Hoops Inn, Perry Green in May 2004.

He is famous for his bright yellow kit and wiping himself out with 'wipeout' at the end of the night. We are currently in discussion for someone to fill in on his drums for him so he can get up front for a change and sing a number!

John:

John is the lead singer with the band. His singing compliments many different styles from mellow tunes such as You do Something to Me, by Paul weller to the more rocky ZZ top numbers.

John has sang with other bands in the past but is happy with our laid back attitude to gigs and rehearsal.

He is famous for his black trilby hat and Chris Rea style voice.

Kim, bass

Kim:

Kim has many years of experience playing with lots of different pro acts and still enjoys the odd dabble with other musicians.

He has crossed paths with Ralph in the past in a band called Thinking Aloud who played a tight circuit with original material. We were very lucky that he hadn't already been snapped up when cover me bad needed a bass player.

Kim is famous for having the most energy on stage and being able to play an entire set on his fretless if necessary!

Ralph:

Ralph is probably where it all started. Along with Dave, he is also the only other original member. He plays lead guitar and also does some vocals.....but more importantly he is our main sound man who brings and sets up the p.a and lights for every gig that we do. His experience with sound engineering gives us a superior sound.

Ralph has played the professional circuit like Kim but likes the quiet life now with his wife (see Robyn).

He is famous for playing the lead solo for Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird and making it sound as though there are twin guitars playing....awesome!

Robyn:

Robyn joined the band in 1997 to just play a few songs on the acoustic but has since progressed to swapping between electric, acoustic, keys, vocals and even the odd number on bass so that Kim can sing.

I'm sure this promotion is for her musical talents and has nothing to do with the fact that she is married to Ralph!

Robyn is famous for being able to play the acoustic guitar like a bloke.....so it's been said. I think it's a compliment!
